Introduction

Nubius BackupCare is a fully managed backup service designed to protect your critical data. Whether your servers are hosted with Nubius Solutions or an external provider, our team ensures that your backups are configured, monitored, and available for restoration when needed.


1. Service Overview

With Nubius BackupCare, we handle:

  • Backup Setup & Configuration – We set up and configure backups using Acronis.
  • Backup Monitoring & Verification – Ensuring backups run as scheduled.
  • Flexible Service – Available for Nubius-hosted and external servers.
  • Restore Assistance – Support in case you need to recover data.

2. Getting Started with Nubius BackupCare

2.1. Placing Your Order

To activate Nubius BackupCare, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Client Portal and go to https://portal.nubius.io/store/nubius-cyber-protection-suite
  2. Select Nubius BackupCare and specify the number of servers you want under backup management.
  3. Complete the checkout process.

After your order is processed, you will receive a Welcome Email with setup instructions.


3. Providing Server Information

Once your order is placed, we require the following details to set up backups:

3.1. Servers Hosted with Nubius Solutions

If your server is hosted with us, provide:

  • Server Name or IP Address
  • Preferred backup Schedule

 

3.2. External Servers

If your server is hosted outside Nubius Solutions, provide:

  • Server Name or IP Address
  • Operating System (Linux/Windows)
  • Access Credentials (SSH/SFTP/RDP, or alternative secure access method)
  • Preferred backup Schedule

 

How to Submit Your Details:

Submit a ticket to the support department via the customer's portal.


4. Backup Configuration & Monitoring

Once we receive your details:

  • Our team will configure Acronis backups on your server.
  • We will verify and test the backup setup.
  • You will receive a confirmation email once backups are active.

You can check backup statuses anytime through your Acronis portal or contact our support team.


5. Managing Your Backup Service

5.1. Adding More Servers

To add additional servers under Nubius BackupCare:

  1. Log in to your Client Portal.
  2. Navigate to Services > My Services.
  3. Click on Nubius BackupCare.
  4. Select Modify Service and update the number of servers.

 

5.2. Cancelling a Backup Service

To cancel backup management for a specific server:

  • Open a support ticket or email support@support.nubius.io with the request.
  • You can reuse the available managed backup for another server or downgrade the service.

6. Backup Restore Assistance

If you need to restore data, follow these steps:

  1. Open a support ticket via your Client Portal or email support@support.nubius.io.
  2. Provide details on the restore request:
    1. Server Name/IP
    2. Date and time of the backup to restore
    3. Specific files or full system restore
  3. Our team will assist you in restoring your data as quickly as possible.
